I bought this for my partner after comparing the coated canvas with an older city bag he uses every week. The new material feels a little stiffer at first, which helps the small shape stand up, and there was no chemical smell when we opened it. It came inside a pouch with paper around the handles; one outer corner of the box was pressed, but the bag had no mark. The blue pattern is clear up close. He likes the compact size for evenings and would choose it again.

months of weekend use and it still sits upright when i put it down. Cheaper than the bigger version I almost got, and it carries what I need.
